Thank you for flight ticket prayers... answered in a big way! We can still go, Yen at Delight Travel is amazing! So now what to pack, and I am still finishing my craft projects. I have so much on my mind, I think I can just get busy with this lists and everything will come together.
We are leaving Monday night the 18th of December to Minneapolis. We will stay with my sister Janell (check out her amazing blog btw...I will post a link.) Anyway, we leave from MSP airport on Dec 19 at 7something am. Then to Portland, then to Tokyo, then to Beijing then to Nanchang. Yes that is 5 take-offs & Landings BEFORE we see our daughter...need to stop to see the pharmacist friend(DJL) tomorrow. Rusty will be having some serious issues I am sure. The reason for so many transfers is seat availability. Did you ever try to get somewhere really far away booking a week before you need to be there, Christmas week nonetheless ( I like that word)...pretty tricky by the looks of things. So we will arrive in Beijing on the night of the 20th...in case you are wondering, we lose a day in flight. So I will guess we might get Sophia on the 21st, we'll see. Then our best route home is GuangZhou to Tokyo to Portland to MSP if all goes well, we should arrive in Minneapolis at 2ish pm on the 31st...Anyone want to stay up and ring in the new year? JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!
Whirlwind but there it is. I will keep updating as I know more, and of course my projects will be up sometime. OUT...stole that from Rusty.

Another Surprise!!!!!!!!!! Travelling Dec 20-30 to China to get Sophia! We are ecstatic, but freaking about flights and having trouble getting Lawrence at Delight travel to figure something out. I will be posting frequently now and from China also starting next week! We should have Sophia by Dec 20 or 21. Sorry to have to leave Jurnee behind during Christmas, but we know she will be in good hands! And we will all be together in 2007 and beyond!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No news on China yet. Hopefully by the end of the week. It just occured to me yesterday with the help of some great mom friends, I have not bought a thing for Christmas yet! What am I thinking? I hope to start tomorrow. I am pretty full-up today. My husband made it very clear that he did not enjoy the colored pencils and other art supplies I bought him last year for Chirstmas...bah...He is VERY talented and willl not do anything with it. I just thought a few quality supplies might spark his creative hand during the long cold Wisconsin winter. I will post a drawing he did last year.
Anyway, I need ideas for him. I am thinking the wafflemaker Jurnee is getting him will be perfect though. I tried to get him to knit and I think that is more interesting to him. But no way in my life time am I going that route again! I am finishing up a few things of my own today, and I will have them on Flickr tonight.

The time is flying. We found out Monday that we will not be travelling any time soon , and we had to have our INS (immigration) paperwork refiled. So, we spent yesterday doing that. We are very busy otherwise just recovering from Rusty flu-like symptoms, and Jurnee & I a nasty chest cold. Mine seems to be lingering, though of course I am not resting much.
I have been crafting a little though. I finished my mittens! Something for show and tell in crochet class. I am working on a pot-scrubbie tonight...seriously... I learn so much in that class, it is more about the technique I think. I have also finished one of the kitchen towels meant for my Christmas gift exchange in Kaukauna. Can't tell you who I have though. I will post the towels when they are all done...a few days hopefully.
