Sophia was so excited to be with her cousin Cedar! We had a really good time visiting!

Finished bling! Not so cute on the table cloth, but hopefully you get the idea. I am shocked and amazed by the interest my friends and family have in my creations. I now have a couple of orders and I think it is exciting!

Works in progress. I want to try a necklace soon also- I have a few ideas. EVERYTHING I am using is old, or at least re-purposed. It is fun to make stuff out of other people's junk!

After spending time with my family and extended family this weekend, I realized just how much of a junk collector I am! And I LOVE it! My whole family is into it too. My uncle has an old parking meter in his driveway. My aunt owns an antique/vintage store. My brother gave me the hot tip on some great new places to shop, and even my little sister Kate was intrigued by it all. Not to mention, my mom has the largest vintage button collection ever..of course, many of my finds come from her jars! Thanks mom!

It has been more than a month, come on...

So the girls have been loving the nice weather, can't lie, I do too! But I have been working on some bling, and reading, I just realized since I joined a book club in November, I have read 12 books! I just finished When the Sandpiper Calls last night, and now I get to choose another book, I love the reading bug I have caught!

Potty training Sophia has turned out to be ridiculously long, and taxing. Rusty has been working in Indiana most of the year, so I am realizing that she has my number and she is just playing me. Rusty was home for two weeks and the last few days, she finally went on the toilet fine. He left this morning, and she just told me she'll go tomorrow, she's not kidding, she will hold it until I put a diaper on her for bed if she has to. Believe me we have tried EVERYTHING. I wouldn't be so anxious, but when she wears a pull-up or diaper, she either changes herself, or demands (in Target) that I change her right then.

I won't make it so long next time.

Working on some bling!

I thought it is time to share the bracelets I have been working on. I have been collecting baubles and such for some time now, and I finally figured out how to put it all together.

Jurnee's quilt beginning...lots of work to go, those triangles are not east...but it will be cute when it's done in a few years!

The Chickadee saga-

So this is the Chickadee many of you have heard about...seriously. Two more weeks to get a new window put in. Moral tto the story, do not put wood windows on your home on the South facing side, in Wisconsin. But it will sure be nice to finally have this replaced.

Jurnee thought it was too sunny to open her eyes for the photo. She just looked so cute walking from the bus with this on her head.

I haven't posted in a month...what?

Jurnee is playing a lot of Webkinz, and Sophia is not happy, she wants to play her "baby" games.

Jurnee and I finally painted her doll house...now I need to get going on some rugs and curtains. I thought I might make a little afghan too.
I found this great idea for potholders here and I made a couple. Go check it out, hers are definitely cuter. I am also working on Jurnee's quilt too, photos later:)
